Laura's Story

I’ve seen God’s blessings and provision for everything we needed....
I’m not sure about you, but I used to struggle to have a good daily devotional time with God. Working a lot, trying to fit everything in my life and most of all my time with God, which unfortunately was not always a priority for me, finding excuses or even feeling exhausted by time with all the other activities.
In one word, not being well organized with my time, which made me feel anxious and afraid to get out of my comfort zone.
However, soon after Easter 2022, I decided to make my devotional time a priority for me, and slowly I started to spend more time reading the Bible, praying and writing in my prayer journal, which was something new for me.
A few months later in October 2022, I strongly felt God’s direction and guidance leading me to quit my job. Which to be honest, I wasn’t very happy about it. Overthinking about our finances and starting to have thoughts of fear at the time I took the decision to quit my job.
I wasn’t feeling confident about this, but I trusted God with everything because He wanted something from me. It took me a few weeks, maybe months to understand my calling and God’s purpose, plans and work with my life to prioritize my time with Him and to put Him first in everything I do.
God send beautiful, amazing and godly people into my life, to help me into this process of getting close to him. Especially my bestie, Ema Robinson which been all the way on my side, encouraging me to never give up, to stay close to God. She was the one who inspired me with her example to write my thoughts down on a piece of paper and to start doing prayer journaling. I’m truly grateful, blessed and so amazed for God’s ways to do his work in our lives, which is never our ways.
My husband Ovi, been so supportive, caring, loving, understanding God’s way for my life and never doubting or complaining. He was always on my side, praying, encouraging me and helping me grow beautifully. I’m blessed beyond measure with everything God is doing in my life, and I trust Him completely in all areas. God is my Rock, my Comforter, my Refuge, my shelter, my mentor, my all in one, my Abba Father.
In the midst of all pain, insecurities, thoughts which I’ve had from the enemy to make me feel uncomfortable at that time. I’ve seen God’s blessings and provision for everything we needed, even a job to work from home with my husband and His abundance of blessings over my family during those difficult times.
I’ve started to be organized with my time, to make sure I prioritize my time with God daily. I started to read the Bible with more passion, doing bible study, and my devotional time improved and I’ve seen how God has been growing me spiritually every single day.
It’s already been over an year since I’ve started doing prayer journaling every single day with a passionate heart to get closer to God which helped my relationship with Him to be more stronger, receiving his peace, comfort, joy and all the resources I need every day to be a light and to show his goodness and love to everyone.
I’ve seen God’s presence in my life helping me to grow in faith and to experience His forgiveness, hope, unconditional love and abundance of blessings in all areas of my life.
Now I am feeling more confident, courageous, and secure to share the good news about God with my family, friends and random people.
If we are really honest with ourselves there is always time to have a good quality time with God no matter how busy our schedule is.
Declare this over yourselves every day and you will experience God’s inner peace:
I am God’s Masterpiece. (Ephesians 2:10)
I am strong. (Philippians 4:13)
I am beautiful. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
I am never alone. (Matthew 28:20)
I am loved forever. (Romans 8:39)
I am chosen. (1 Thessalonians 1:4)
I am victorious. (Romans 8:37)
I am enough just as I am. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
I am amazing. (Psalm 139:14)
I am a precious child of God. Made for a purpose. I am an Overcomer.
“The Lord is close to the broken-hearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time!” (Psalm 34:18-19)
“So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.” (1 Peter 4:19)
“I see that the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and my tongue shouts his praises! My body rests in hope. For you will not leave my soul among the dead or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave. You have shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with the joy of your presence.” (Acts 2:25-28)
“This is my command be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 )
